Welcome to the Blyth Community Church Website.

Blyth Community Church is a small independent church in the town of Blyth on the Northumberland coast (see our locator map) with people from a number of church backgrounds and un-churched backgrounds. We meet together to worship God, to grow together as Christians, and to tell others about the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Our meeting times are:

  • SUNDAY 11:00am - Church Service
  • WEDNESDAY 7:00pm - Drop-in Session (come and see what we're about)
  • THURSDAY 8:00pm - Bible Study

The first two meetings are held at Croft Hall, Oxford Street (behind the Old Fire Station; see link to map above), whilst Thursday's Bible Study is held at 302 Plessey Road, NE24 3NJ.

It makes you think

According to this Government Web-page it's an offence to "intentionally take or destroy a wild bird’s egg". If you do, you could be sent to prison for up to 6 months and be fined £5,000 for each offence.

Now an egg is just that - an egg. You've broken a hen's egg open and seen what's inside. By no stretch of the imagination is it a fully-formed bird. But do that to a wild bird's egg - rare bird or not - and there are dire consequences. Why?
